Gabriela Dabrowski reaches women’s doubles final at 2024 Wimbledon

Gabriela Dabrowski is in her seventh grand slam doubles final of her career. The 32-year-old from Ottawa, Ontario has teamed up with Erin Routliffe of New Zealand in the women’s doubles final at Wimbledon. The second seeds are facing the fourth seed, Taylor Townsend of the United States and Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic.

Dabrowski and Routliffe previously won the 2023 United States Open together. At Wimbledon over the last two weeks, they defeated Mirra Andreeva and Anastasia Potapova of Russia 6-2, 7-5 in the first round, Irina Khromacheva and Kamilla Rakhimova of Russia 7-6, 3-6, 7-5 in the second round, Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine and Elena-Gabriela Ruse of Romania 6-3, 6-1 in the third round, the eighth seeds Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic and Laura Siegemund of Germany 6-4, 6-7, 6-4. Krejcikova won the women’s singles draw of Wimbledon on Saturday. As the 31st seed, she defeated Jasmine Paolini of Italy, the seventh seed, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4. Then in the women’s semifinal, Dabrowski and Routliffe defeated the seventh seeds, Caroline Dolehide and Desirae Krawczyk of the United States 6-4, 6-3.

Dabrowski has also won two mixed doubles titles. She teamed up with Rohan Bopanna of India to win the 2017 French Open and with Mate Pavic of Croatia to win the 2018 Australian Open. Dabrowski reached the mixed doubles final and lost at the 2018 and 2019 French Open, and the women’s doubles final and lost at 2019 Wimbledon.
