Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of Toronto. Ontario has been named to the 2025-26 All-NBA First Team this past season. It is the fourth straight year he received the honour. Gilgeous-Alexander was chosen alongside center Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, center/power forward Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs, guard Luka Doncic of the Los Angeles Lakers and guard Cade Cunningham of the Detroit Pistons.
It is interesting that five different countries are represented on the 2025-26 All-NBA First Team. While Gilgeous-Alexander is Canadian, Cunningham is American, Wembanyama is from France, Jokic is from Serbia and Doncic is from Slovenia.
This is the third straight year where five players were chosen for the 2025-26 All-NBA team regardless of position. Prior to 2023-24, there were two forwards, two guards and one center selected.
In 2025-26, Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 31.1 points per game, 6.6 assists per game, 4.3 rebounds per game and 1.4 steals per game. He had a field goal percentage of .553, three point percentage of .386, and free throw percentage of .879. Gilgeous-Alexander led the NBA with 7.9 free throws made per game, 616 two-point shots made and 540 free throws made.
The Thunder are still in the 2026 NBA playoffs. They are tied with the Spurs at two games apiece in the 2026 Western Conference Finals.
