
The St. Louis Blues won a memorable game on Monday night as they beat the Detroit Red Wings 4-0 at the Little Caesars Arena. In the same game, Dylan Holloway of Calgary, Alberta registered his first career National Hockey League hat trick and Jordan Binnington of Richmond Hill, Ontario collected his 17th National Hockey League shutout.
Holloway opened the scoring with the game-winning goal at 16:14 of the first period from Jordan Kyrou of Toronto, Ontario and Canadian native and defenseman Cam Fowler of Windsor, Ontario. Holloway then put the Blues up 3-0 at 7:45 of the second period from Brayden Schenn of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and defenseman Colton Parayko of St. Albert, Alberta, with an all-Canadian goal. Holloway then closed the scoring at 15:54 of the third period. Parayko and Robert Thomas of Aurora, Ontario notched assists on another all-Canadian goal.
In his first season with the Blues, Holloway has 13 goals and nine assists for 22 points in 36 games. He was a +6 with eight penalty minutes, three power play points, four game-winning goals, 81 shots on goal, 49 faceoff wins, 26 blocked shots, 68 hits, 13 takeaways and 30 giveaways.
Binnington made three saves in the first period, six saves in the second period, and 10 saves in the third period. This was Binnington’s second shutout of the season. He also blanked the New Jersey Devils 3-0 on November 27. In 2024-25, Binnington has a record of nine wins, 13 regulation losses, and three losses in extra time, with a goals against average of 2.88 and a save percentage of .898.
