The Toronto Blue Jays set a franchise record on Tuesday for most players in a game with a run scored. Toronto had 12 different players reach home plate by contributing to the scoresheet in an 18-11 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.

Matt Chapman and Teoscar Hernandez led the Blue Jays with three runs scored each. The other Blue Jays with multiple runs scored were Bo Bichette and Alejandro Kirk with two runs scored each. The Toronto players with one run each were George Springer, Montreal native Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Gabriel Moreno, Santiago Espinal, Jackie Bradley Jr., Raimel Tapia, Danny Jansen and Cavan Biggio.

The Blue Jays scored four runs each in the eighth and ninth inning, three times in the first inning, two runs each in the second and seventh inning, and one run each in the third, fifth and sixth innings. The 29 runs scored in the game was the second most runs that were scored in a game in Major League Baseball this year. The most runs scored in a game were 33. On July 22, the Blue Jays defeated the Boston Red Sox 28-5.

The Blue Jays currently have the best wildcard record in the American League. They are at 84 wins and 64 losses.
