Teal Harle of Campbell River, British Columbia won a silver medal at a World Cup men’s big air freestyle skiing event in Beijing, China on Saturday. For Harle it was his fourth career World Cup medal.

Previously, Harle won World Cup slopestyle skiing gold medals in Silvaplana, Switzerland on March 3, 2017 and in Mammoth, Colorado, United States on January 21, 2018. Harle’s last two World Cup medals have come in big air skiing. In addition to his silver medal in China on Saturday, Harle also won a bronze medal in Quebec City on March 24, 2018.

The silver medal in Beijing on Saturday has some added significance for Harle. That is because he was able to land on the podium on the same hill that will be hosting the 2022 Olympic Winter Games. Big air freestyle skiing will be making its Olympic debut in just over two years from now.
