Toronto Raptors power forward Pascal Siakam has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the fifth time according to the Canadian Press on Monday. Siakam was honoured for his play from December 19 to 25, 2022.

Siakam averaged 38.7 points per game, 10.3 rebounds per game, and 7.3 assists per game. The game was highlighted by a 52 point performance on December 21 in a 113-106 Raptors win over the New York Knicks. The 52 points were the second most points a Raptors player has had in a single game. Only Fred VanVleet who had 54 points in a 123-108 Toronto win over the Orlando Magic on February 2, 2021, has ever had more.

A +12 in the week, Siakam also had 38 points, and a season-high 15 rebounds in a 104-101 Toronto loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on December 19, and 26 points in a 118-107 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on December 23. The win over Cleveland was significant as the Raptors had an excellent first half. They led the Cavaliers 69-53 after the first 24 minutes.

On the season, Siakam is averaging 26.2 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game, 6.9 assists, and had a field goal percentage of .484, three-point percentage of .351  and a free throw percentage of .783. The Raptors next game is on Tuesday when they host the Los Angeles Clippers at the Scotiabank Arena.
