Felix Auger-Aliassime of Montreal, Quebec has enjoyed an unbelievable month of October. On Sunday, the ninth ranked men’s tennis player in the world won his third title in three weeks. After winning the Firenze Open in Florence, Italy, and the European Open in Antwerp, Belgium, Auger-Aliassime was victorious in Basel, as he defeated Holger Rune of Denmark 6-3, 7-5 in the 2022 final of the Swiss Indoors.

In Sunday’s final, Auger-Aliassime was dominant with his serve. He had 11 aces compared to only four for Rune. Auger-Aliassime also broke Rune once in each set.

Just how dominant was Auger-Aliassime all week? He was not broken once in his five victories. Only two other players have gone through an entire tournament without being broken in 2022. Taylor Fritz accomplished the feat at Eastbourne, the final Wimbledon tune-up tournament, and Nick Kyrgios of Australia was not broken at the Washington Open. Like the Swiss Indoors, the Washington Open is a 500 event on the ATP Tour.

This has the capability of being a busy November for Auger-Aliassime. First of all he has the Paris Indoors which begin this week. That will be followed by the ATP World Tour Finals in Turin, Italy, where Auger-Aliassime is a near lock to participate in now, and then the Davis Cup in Malaga, Spain, where Canada plays Germany in the quarterfinals on November 24.
