
Ben Andersen of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta continues to be the leader in the Pool B standings in the saddle bronc at the 2022 Calgary Stampede. On Thursday, Andersen posted a score of 84.5 points, which was the third most points on the day.
Andersen, who’s riding the bronc Waikiki Coconut, placed behind Damian Brennan of Injune, Australia (86.5 points) and Dawson Dahm of Duffield, Alberta (85 points). Andersen now has earned $13,500 dollars, and leads Brennan by $3000. Brennan is in second place with $10,500. Dahm moved into sixth place with $4500.
Meanwhile it was a solid day for Jacob Gardner of Fort St. John, British Columbia. On the bull Bad Chute Crazy, Gardner posted the best score in the bull riding competition with 84.5 points. In the aggregate standings for Pool B, two Canadians are tied for second place. Dakota Buttar of Estonia, Saskatchewan and Coy Robbins of Camrose, Alberta each have $4,500. The aggregate leader is Creek Young of Rogersville, Missouri, who has won $11,000.
The seventh day of chuckwagon racing’s Rangeland Derby is now in the books as well. Chad Fike of Cremona, Alberta posted the fastest time at 1:12.61. Meanwhile, the aggregate leader so far is Layne MacGillivray of Halkirk, Alberta, who has an overall time of 8:37.16.
