Kerri Einarson’s team based out of Manitoba was the big story at the 2025 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Thunder Bay, Ontario on Tuesday. Einarson delivered a comeback for the ages. Down 7-2 after five ends, Einarson’s team picked up three points in the sixth and eighth ends, and won the game with a deuce in the 10th end to defeat the Manitoba champion Kate Cameron 10-9.
It was the second noteworthy game Einarson was involved in on Tuesday. In the morning draw, she lost 9-6 to Northwest Territories’s Kerry Galusha, which was considered a significant upset.
We also saw the shot of the tournament on Tuesday so far. That was a double raise, double takeout for five by Kayla Skrlik of Calgary in a 10-5 win over Saskatchewan. However, the shots made between Einarson and Cameron on Tuesday night were high quality too as both Manitoba based teams proved why they were among the best teams in the country. That said, Cameron’s team did not have a very good strategy in protecting the lead as they allowed a lot of rocks in play.
Rachel Homan’s Team Canada leads Pool A at five wins and zero losses. There is a two-way tie at 4-1 in Pool B between Nova Scotia’s Christina Black and Ontario’s Danielle Inglis.
