Vancouver Goldeneyes forward Jenn Gardiner of Surrey, British Columbia set the Professional Women’s Hockey League record for most goals in a game with four on Saturday. She accomplished the feat in a 6-5 Goldeneyes overtime win over the Seattle Torrent at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.

Overall, it was a disappointing night for the Goldeneyes. That is because they did not win the game in regulation, and were subsequently eliminated from the PWHL Playoffs in 2025-26.

Gardiner’s first goal came with 55 seconds left in the second period to pull the Goldeneyes within one goal at the time as the Torrent took a 2-0 lead after the first period. Defenseman Sophie Jaques of Toronto, Ontario had the lone assist. Gardiner then put the Goldeneyes up 3-2 at 9:28 of the third period. Abby Boreen and Hannah Miller had the assists. Gardiner then pulled the Goldeneyes with one goal (5-4 Seattle) with one minute and 49 seconds left. Michelle Karvinen and Anna Meixner had the assists. Gardiner’s fourth goal was the game-winning goal at the 52 second mark of overtime. Miller and Jaques had the assists.

For the season, Gardiner has eight goals and eight assists for 16 points in 28 games. She has four penalty minutes, one faceoff win, one shorthanded goal, two game-winning goals, six blocked shots and 54 shots.

Gardiner’s shorthanded goal came in a 4-0 Goldeneyes win over the New York Sirens on December 6. Canadian Olympic gold medalist and defenseman Claire Thompson of Toronto, Ontario and Gabby Rosenthal had the assists. The Goldeneyes went up 3-0 with two minutes and 21 seconds left in the first period. Gardiner’s first game-winning goal came in a 2-1 Goldeneyes win over the Ottawa Charge on December 16. Gardiner put the Goldeneyes up 2-0 with an unassisted goal at 3:36 of the second period. Thompson’s gold medal came at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing.
