Adin Hill records 11th career NHL shutout

Adin Hill of Comox, British Columbia recorded his 11th career National Hockey League shutout. He accomplished the feat in a 4-0 Vegas Golden Knights win over the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday.

Hill made 27 saves. He had 14 saves in the first period, seven saves in the second period and six saves in the third period. Zach Werenski led the Blue Jackets with four shots on goal.

Two Canadians scored for the Golden Knights. They were Canadian Olympic gold medalist and defenseman Alex Pietrangelo of King City, Ontario, and Nicolas Roy of Amos, Quebec. Roy added an assist for a multi-point game, as he had two points. Pietrangelo won his gold medal in men’s hockey for Team Canada at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.

In 2024-25, Hill has a record of 24 wins, 11 regulation losses and four losses in extra time. He has four shutouts, a goals against average of 2.53 and a save percentage of .906. Of Hill’s 11 career NHL shutouts, six have come with the Vegas Golden Knights, three have come with the Arizona Coyotes and two have come with the San Jose Sharks.

With the win, the Golden Knights improve to a record of 39 wins, 19 regulation losses and seven losses in extra time for 85 points. They are leading the Pacific Division and have six more points than the second place Los Angeles Kings.
