Tim Tindale of London, Ontario is being inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in Hamilton, Ontario in 2022. Tindale is receiving the honour as a player despite not playing a down in the Canadian Football League. You could make the argument that Tindale was better than many players in the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, because after an outstanding Canadian university career at the University of Western, he went on to play in the highest level of professional football in the world, the National Football League.

Tindale played four seasons with the Buffalo Bills from 1994 to 1997, and again with the Chicago Bears in 1998. As a fullback, he played 37 NFL games, and had 19 rushes for 65 yards, along with five catches for 104 yards.

During his time at the University of Western Mustangs, Tindale won the Hec Crighton Trophy presented  to the top player in Canadian University football. Tindale received the honour with the Mustangs in 1991 and 1993 as a running back. In four seasons, he had 2554 yards and 36 touchdowns. While at Western, Tindale graduated with a degree in Kinesiology.

Other players inducted include former Edmonton Eskimos and Toronto Argonauts quarterback Ricky Ray, Montreal Alouettes defensive back Chip Cox, British Columbia Lions and Saskatchewan Roughriders kicker Paul McCallum, and former Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Argonauts defensive back and wide receiver Dick Thornton. In the builders category, those inducted were Calgary Colts founder and General Manager Keith Evans of Brandon, Manitoba, former Lions and Blue Bombers Head Coach Dave Ritchie, and Roughriders General Manager Roy Shivers.
