Three-time Canadian Football League All-Star Bryan Burnham announced his retirement at the age of 32 on Tuesday according to the Canadian Press. He spent his entire CFL career with the British Columbia Lions, who he played from 2014 to 2022.

Burnham, a native of Moorestown, New Jersey, played his college football at the University of Tulsa. He was with the Golden Hurricane from 2008 to 2012. In his freshman year, Burnham had a serious cut on his arm that he suffered in practice. Then in his senior year of 2012, he tore his anterior cruciate ligament. In addition to playing wide receiver at the University of Tulsa, Burnham also played defensive back.

Burnham played 105 games for the Lions and had 476 catches for 7212 yards, and 42 touchdown catches. He was a CFL All-Star in 2017, 2019, and 2021. Burnham’s best season came in 2019, when he had career highs in receptions (100), receiving yards (1492), and touchdown catches (11). That season, Burnham was second in the CFL in each of those three wide receiver categories. He was only only behind Brandon Banks of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, who was the CFL’s most valuable player that year. Banks had 112 catches, 1550 receiving yards and 13 touchdown catches.

On the ground, Burnham had five rushes for 30 yards. In the postseason, Burnham played in four CFL playoff games and had a total of 10 catches for 134 yards and one touchdown.
