Seventeen Canadians win 2022 National Lacrosse League Cup

A total of 17 Canadians won the 2022 National Lacrosse League Cup on Saturday as the Colorado Mammoth defeated the Buffalo Bandits 10-8 at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. The Mammoth beat the Bandits two games to one in the best out of three series.

The 17 Canadians to win the 2022 National Lacrosse League Cup and be on the Mammoth roster for the final game were defensemen Josh Sullivan of Red Deer, Alberta, Robert Hope of Peterborough, Ontario, Warren Jeffrey of Toronto, Ontario, Jordan Gilles of Richmond, British Columbia, Scott Carnegie of London, Ontario, Anthony Joaquim of Guelph, Ontario, and John Lintz of Edmonton, Alberta; transition players Jalen Chaster of Coquitlam, British Columbia and Joey Cupido of Hamilton, Ontario; forwards Chris Wardle of Victoria, British Columbia, Sam Firth of Ottawa, Ontario, Tyson Gibson of Maple, Ontario, Brett McIntyre and Dylan Kinnear of Calgary, Alberta, and Connor Robinson of New Westminster, British Columbia; and goaltenders Tyler Carlson of Brampton, Ontario, and Dillon Ward of Orangeville, Ontario.

In the championship final on Saturday, the Mammoth got six points, including a team-high five assists from Wardle. Hope had three assists and Robinson had two assists. Other Mammoth players with a multi-point game of one goal and one assist were Firth, Joaquim, McIntyre and Kinnear. The other Canadian to score for the Mammoth on Saturday was Gibson.
