Ryan O’Reilly and Nazem Kadri have three-point games in Stanley Cup Playoffs

St. Louis Blues centre Ryan O’Reilly of Clinton, Ontario, and Colorado Avalanche centre Nazem Kadri of London, Ontario, each had two goals and one assist for three points for their respective teams on Monday in game four of the first round of the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs from Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta. O’Reilly accomplished the feat in a 3-1 Blues win over the Vancouver Canucks, while Kadri did it in a 7-1 Avalanche win over the Arizona Coyotes. The Blues and Canucks are tied at two games apiece, while the Avalanche lead the Coyotes three games to one.

Eight more Canadians recorded a multi-point game for a winning team on Monday. In the Blues game against the Canucks, Canadian Olympic gold medalist Alex Pietrangelo of King City, Ontario had one goal and one assist for two points, and David Perron of Sherbrooke, Quebec had two assists. Pietrangelo won a gold medal for Canada in men’s hockey at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.

In the Avalanche win over the Coyotes, three more Canadian Avalanche players had a multi-point game. Matt Calvert of Brandon, Manitoba, and Cale Makar of Calgary, Alberta each had one goal and one assist, while Nathan Mackinnon of Springhill, Nova Scotia had two assists.

In the Boston Bruins’ 4-3 win over the Carolina Hurricanes in Toronto, Jake DeBrusk of Edmonton, Alberta had two third period goals. With the win, the Bruins lead the Hurricanes three games to one. Meanwhile also in Toronto, Barclay Goodrow of Toronto, Ontario, and Yanni Gourde of Saint-Narcisse-de-Beaurivage, Quebec had one goal and one assist each in the Lightning 2-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. With the win, the Lightning lead that first round playoff series three games to one.
