The Toronto Raptors have won their first three games on their Western Conference road trip in the National Basketball Association. So far, the Raptors defeated the San Antonio Spurs 119-104 on Wednesday. They then beat the Phoenix Suns 117-112 on Friday, and then the Denver Nuggets 127-115 on Saturday.

In Toronto’s win over San Antonio, the Raptors delayed Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich from making history. If the Spurs had beaten the Raptors, then Popovich would have broken the NBA record for the most head coaching wins of all-time, passing Don Nelson in the process. However on this night, Raptors head coach Nick Nurse got the better of Popovich. Fred VanVleet led the Raptors attack with 26 points.

On Friday, the Raptors had a marvelous game from Gary Trent Jr. who scored 42 points in a five-point win over the Suns. Phoenix is currently the best team in the NBA with a record of 54 wins and 14 losses, and clearly are missing all-star point guard Chris Paul, who is out with a broken right thumb.

Then on Saturday, the Raptors beat the Nuggets, the sixth best team in the West, who are clearly missing Jamal Murray of Kitchener, Ontario, who is out with a torn ACL. Pascal Siam led the Raptors with 33 points. Chris Boucher of Montreal, Quebec and Scottie Barnes each had double-doubles. Boucher had 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Barnes had 25 points and 10 assists. Toronto now has a record of 37 wins and 30 losses, and are seventh in the East.
