Patrice Bergeron records three points in game three of 2019 Stanley Cup Final

Canadian Olympic gold medalist Patrice Bergeron of L’Ancienne-Lorette, Quebec notched three points on Saturday in game three of the 2019 Stanley Cup Finals. Bergeron had one goal and two assists as the Boston Bruins beat the St. Louis Blues 7-2 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Bergeron opened the scoring with a power play goal from Torey Krug and Jake DeBrusk of Edmonton, Alberta at 10:47 of the first period to put Boston up 1-0 at the time. He then notched an assist on a power play goal by David Pastrnak at the 41 second mark of the second period to put the Bruins up 4-0. Then at 12:12 of the second period, Bergeron and Brad Marchard of Halifax, Nova Scotia notched assists on the Bruins power play goal by Krug, which put the Bruins up 5-1.

Bergeron was second on the Bruins in points with three. Krug set a Bruins franchise record for most points in a Stanley Cup Finals game with four.

Bergeron is third on the Bruins in playoff scoring with 16 points. He is behind Marchand at 20 points and Pastrnak at 17 points. Bergeron won a gold medal for Canada in men’s hockey at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. Game four of the Stanley Cup Finals is Monday in St. Louis with the Bruins leading the best out of seven series two games to one.
