According to statmuse.com on Wednesday, Pascal Siakam became the fifth player in Toronto Raptors franchise history to score 50 points in a game. He accomplished the feat in a 113-106 Raptors win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Siakam made 17 of 25 field goals, two of six three point attempts, and 16 of 18 free throws. He had nine rebounds, seven assists, one steal and was a +8. The win was significant for the Raptors as it ended their six game losing streak. With the win, the Raptors improved to 14 wins and 18 losses, and are half a game up on the Chicago Bulls for the final spot in the NBA Play-In Tournament.

This was only the Raptors’s fourth win this season on the road. Their other wins came on October 24 in a 98-90 win in Miami, on November 2 in a 143-100 win in San Antonio, and on November 14 in a 115-111 win in Detroit. In the Raptors win in New York on Wednesday, only two other Raptors players reached double digits in scoring. Fred VanVleet had 28 points and OG Anunoby had 15 points.

VanVleet has the Raptors record for most points in a game. He had 54 points in a 123-108 Toronto win in Orlando on February 2. The other three Raptors to score 50 points in a game are DeMar DeRozan (52 points in a 131-127 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on January 21, 2018), Terrence Ross (51 points in a 126-118 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on January 25, 2014) and Vince Carter (51 points in a 103-102 win over the Phoenix Suns on February 27, 2000).
