
Canadian Olympic gold medalist Mikael Kingsbury of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec continues to be the best mogulist on the planet, not just now, but all-time. At a World Cup in Livigno, Italy, Kingsbury won the gold medal in a men’s dual moguls event.
Kingsbury defeated silver medalist Ikuma Horishima of Japan in the final 20-15. Filip Gravenfors of Sweden won the bronze medal. During the event, Kingsbury beat Matyas Kroupa of the Czech Republic 26-9 in the round of 16, Cooper Woods of Australia 22-13 in the quarterfinals and Dylan Walczyk of the United States 22-13 in the semifinals.
In winning gold in Livigno, Kingsbury won the World Cup standings for dual moguls, and as a result he won the Crystal Globe. Kingsbury also won the Crystal Globe in men’s moguls in 2024-25. In the men’s dual moguls standings, Kingsbury was in first place with 544 points. Horishima was in second place with 440 points. In the overall moguls standings, Kingsbury also finished in first place with 1299 points. Horishima was in second place with 1038 points.
Kingsbury won the gold medal in men’s moguls at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang. The World Cup gold medal in men’s dual moguls will give him confidence as he prepares for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan/Cortina d’Ampezzo.
