Megan Oldham wins World Cup women’s slopestyle skiing silver in Aspen

Megan Oldham of Newmarket, Ontario won the silver medal in women’s slopestyle skiing at a World Cup event in Aspen, Colorado on Saturday. For Oldham it was her ninth World Cup medal and second medal this season. She previously won a silver medal in Laax, Switzerland on January 17.

Oldham posted a second place score of 86.93 points. Tess Ledeux of France won the gold medal with a score of 88.06 points, and Rell Harwood of the United States won the bronze medal with a score of 77.53 points. Oldham reached the podium by 12.55 points. Anni Karava of Finland finished in fourth place with a score of 74.38 points.

In the World Cup women’s slopestyle skiing standings, Oldham is currently in second place with 189 points. Ledeux leads with 200 points.

This was the third of five World Cup women’s slopestyle skiing events this season. The world’s best slopestyle skiers will be in Canada, specifically in Stoneham, Quebec on February 22. The final World Cup women’s slopestyle skiing event will be on March 14 in Tignes, France.

Oldham will also be competing in the women’s slopestyle skiing event at the 2025 World Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding  Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland on March 22. The silver medal will give Oldham confidence as she prepares for the  2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan/Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.
