
Canadian Olympic bronze medalist Gabriela Dabrowski of Ottawa, Ontario has reached the final in mixed doubles at the 2026 French Open. On Wednesday, Dabrowski teamed up with Evan King of the United States, and beat Asia Muhammad of the United States and Nikola Mektic of Croatia, 7-5, 6-7, [10-5] in the semifinals.
This is Dabrowski’s fifth grand slam final in mixed doubles. She has two grand slam mixed doubles titles in her career. She also won the 2017 French Open with Rohan Bopanna of India, and the 2018 Australian Open with Mate Pavic of Croatia. Dabrowski also reached the 2018 French Open final and 2019 French Open final with Pavic but lost.
On Thursday, Dabrowski and King will face the number one seeds, Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori of Italy. Dabrowski and King were unseeded.
Dabrowski and King won two additional matches outright before reaching the semifinals. They defeated Vera Zvonareva of Russia and Albano Olivetti of France 7-6, 4-6, [10-7] in the first round, and Irina Khromacheva of Russia and Jakob Schnaitter of Germany 6-4, 6-4 in the second round before advancing directly to the semifinals when Cristina Bucsa of Spain and Rafael Matos of Brazil withdrew from a third round match.
It should also be noted that Dabrowski is in the women’s doubles semifinals too. Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani of Brazil have teamed up and will face Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic and Taylor Townsend of the United States on Friday. Dabrowski’s Olympic bronze medal came at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in mixed doubles with Felix Auger-Aliassime of Montreal, Quebec.
