Canadian Olympic bronze medalist Felix Auger-Aliassime of Montreal, Quebec is in the fourth round of the 2026 French Open. On Saturday, Auger-Aliassime defeated Brandon Nakashima of the United States 5-7, 6-1, 7-6, 7-6 in the third round. Auger-Aliassime won the third set tiebreak 7-4 and the fourth set tiebreak 7-1.

Auger-Aliassime had the service advantage from a statistical perspective. He had 15 aces and zero double faults. Nakashima had eight aces and one double fault.

Next up for Auger-Aliassime is Alejandro Tabilo of Chile. Even though Tabilo represents Chile internationally, he is Toronto born, and previously represented Canada up until 2017. Tabilo has Chilean roots as both of his parents are from Chile, and Tabilo himself has been living in Chile since 2015.

Tabilo is best known for beating Novak Djokovic twice on clay. The first time came in the third round of the 2024 Italian Open (6-2, 6-3), and the second time came in the second round of the 2025 Monte Carlo Masters (6-3, 6-4). Tabilo did reach the final of the 2026 Rio Open earlier this year before losing to Tomas Martin Etcheverry of Argentina, 3-6, 7-6, 6-4.

Auger-Aliassime beat Tabilo, the world number 36, 6-3, 6-3 in the second round of Shanghai in 2025. This was their only prior meeting. Auger-Aliassime won a bronze medal in mixed doubles tennis with Gabriela Dabrowski of Ottawa, Ontario at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
