
Corey Conners of Listowel, Ontario is in contention at the 2025 Sentry Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Hawaii. He is in third place, currently at -14, and two strokes back of the leader, Hideki Matsuyama of Japan, the 2021 Masters champion.
Conners posted a score of seven-under-par 66 in the first and second rounds. On Thursday in round one, he had eight birdies and one bogey. Conners birdied the fifth, sixth, seventh, ninth, 12th, 13th, 14th, and 18th holes, and bogeyed the 10th hole. On Friday in round two, he had six birdies, one eagle and one bogey. Conners birdied the fifth, eighth, 10th, 16th, 17th, and 18th holes, eagled the 15th hole and bogeyed the ninth hole.
Another major champion is alone in second place at -15 and one stroke back. There you can find American Collin Morikawa, the 2020 PGA Championship winner and 2021 British Open champion. Tied with Conners at -14 are Americans Maverick McNealy and Tom Hoge, and Belgium’s Thomas Detry. Then there are four golfers tied for seventh place at -13 and three strokes back. There you can find Americans Wyndham Clark, Keegan Bradley, Cameron Young and England’s Harry Hall. Like Matsuyama and Morikawa, Bradley and Clark are major champions. Bradley won the 2011 PGA Championship, and Clark won the 2023 United States Open.
