Las Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Adin Hill of Comox, British Columbia recorded his eighth career National Hockey League shutout on Monday. He accomplished the feat in a dominant 5-0 Golden Knights over the Calgary Flames at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
Hill made 16 saves in the five-goal Vegas win. He made six saves in the first period, only three saves in the second period, and seven saves in the third period. Connor Zary of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and Yegor Sharangovich led the Flames with three shots on goal each.
Offensively for the Golden Knights, two Canadians led the team in scoring with three points each. Keegan Kolesar of Brandon, Manitoba had two goals and one assist for three points, and Nicolas Roy of Amos, Quebec had one goal and two assists for three points. One more Canadian had a multi-point game as Cole Schwindt of Kitchener, Ontario had two assists for two points.
Two more Canadians scored for the Golden Knights. They were Canadian Olympic gold medalist Alex Pietrangelo of King City, Ontario, and Mark Stone of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Pietrangelo won a gold medal for Canada at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. Stone’s goal was his NHL leading 18th point.
In Adin Hill’s career, he has three shutouts each with the Vegas Golden Knights and Arizona Coyotes, and two shutouts with the San Jose Sharks. In 2024-25, Hill has a record of four wins and two losses with a goals against average of 3.20 and a save percentage of .878.
With the win, the Golden Knights have now won four straight games, and lead the Pacific Division with 15 points. They have a record of seven wins, two regulation losses and one loss in extra time.
