On Saturday at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, the Jets trounced the Predators 6-2 in game five of their second round playoff series. With the win, the Jets now have a three games to two lead in their best out of seven series.

Three other Jets had multi-point games. Mark Scheifele of Kitchener, Ontario and Dustin Byfuglien each had a goal and an assist for two points. Nikolaj Ehlers had two assists. The other Jets goal scorers were Mathieu Perreault of Drummondville, Quebec and Paul Stastny.

Game six will be Monday at the Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg with game seven back at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville if necessary. In the Eastern Conference, the Tampa Bay Lightning will face either the Pittsburgh Penguins or the Washington Capitals in the Eastern Conference Final. On Sunday, the Lightning defeated the Boston Bruins 3-1 to win that second round playoff series 4-1.
