We now know half the teams in the championship round at the 2025 Montana’s Brier in Kelowna, British Columbia. They are Team Canada’s Brad Gushue, Alberta’s Brad Jacobs and Saskatchewan’s Mike McEwen.

Gushue is all alone in first place at 7-0 in Pool A. While in Pool B, McEwen is at 7-0 and Jacobs is at 6-0. McEwen will face Jacobs for first place in Pool B on Thursday night. Gushue and Jacobs are Olympic gold medalists. Gushue won a gold medal at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin, and Jacobs won a gold medal at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.

In Pool A, three teams are battling for two spots. Both Manitoba teams are in the mix and so is Team Northern Ontario. Manitoba’s Matt Dunstone is at 6-1, Reid Carruthers is at 6-2, and Northern Ontario’s John Epping is at 5-2. On Wednesday, Dunstone beat Carruthers 8-6. The most anticipating Pool A matchup is Dunstone versus Gushue. This will be for first place in the group.

In Pool B, four teams are battling for one spot. Ontario’s Sam Moolbroek is alone in third place at four wins and three losses. Then there is a three-way tie for fourth place at three wins and three losses. There you find Nova Scotia, Quebec and Saskatchewan.
