Team Canada wins two synchronized diving medals in 2023 World Aquatics Diving Super Final

Team Canada has won two synchronized diving medals at the 2023 World Aquatics Diving Super Final in Berlin, Germany. Mia Vallee of Beaconsfield, Quebec and Pamela Ware of Greenfield Park, Quebec won the silver medal in the women’s three metre synchronized diving event, and Caeli McKay of Calgary, Alberta, and Kate Miller of Ottawa, Ontario won the silver medal in the women’s 10 metre synchronized diving event on Friday.

Vallee and Ware posted a score of 286.2 points. Yiwen Chen and Yani Chang of China won the gold medal with a score of 311.9 points. Sarah Bacon and Kassidy Cook of the United States won the bronze medal with a score of 284.52 points. Valle and Ware reached the podium by 4.26 points. Yasmin Harper and Scarlett Mew Jensen of Great Britain finished in fourth place with a score of 281.94 points.

McKay and Miller posted a score of 288 points. Yuxi Chen and Hongchan Quan of China win the gold medal with 362.76 points. Lois Toulson and Andrea Spendolini Sirieix of Great Britain won the bronze medal with 285.9 points. McKay and Miller earned a podium spot by 12.96 points over Jessica Parratto and Nike Agunbiade of the United States, who finished in fourth place with 275.04 points. The medals for McKay, Miller, Vallee and Ware will give them confidence as they prepare for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
