Jaden Schwartz of Melfort, Saskatchewan recorded his fourth career National Hockey League hat trick on Tuesday as the St. Louis Blues defeated the Edmonton Oilers 7-2 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. With the win, the Blues moved into third place all alone in the Central Division, and two points up on the Dallas Stars.

Schwartz recorded the first goal of the hockey game at 11:41 of the first period from David Perron of Sherbrooke, Quebec and Michael Del Zotto of Stouffville, Ontario to put the Blues up 1-0. Schwartz then put the Blues up 3-0 at 5:42 of the second period from Tyler Bozak of Regina, Saskatchewan and Vince Dunn of Peterborough, Ontario. It was a four point for Schwartz, as he also registered an assist on a goal by Canadian Olympic gold medalist Alex Pietrangelo of King City, Ontario at the 27 second mark of the second period to put the Blues up 2-0. Pietrangelo won a gold medal for Canada in men’s hockey at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.

Bozak, Pietrangelo and Perron also had multipoint games for the Blues. Bozak had three assists. Pietrangelo had one goal and one assist for two points and Perron had two goals and one assist for three points.
