Sarah Moras of Sechelt, British Columbia will be the first Canadian female athlete that has had a chance to participate in an international sporting event for a while. On Wednesday, Moras will be fighting Sijara Eubanks of Springfield, Massachusetts on the preliminary card of the Ultimate Fighting Championship Fight Night in Jacksonville, Florida according to the Canadian Press. Moras and Eubanks will be fighting in the women’s bantamweight division.

Nicknamed Cheesecake, Moras has a career record of six wins and five losses in her 11 professional matches. In her career to date, she has beaten Helena Martin of Richmond, England; Julianna Pena of Spokane, Washington; fellow Canadian Christina Berry of Winnipeg, Manitoba; Alexis Dufresne of Temecula, California; Ashlee Evans-Smith of Ukiah, California; and Liana Jojua of Tbilisi in the country of Georgia.

In other Canadian UFC News, Felicia Spencer of Montreal, Quebec is set to fight Amanda Nunes of Pojuca, Brazil for the UFC Women’s Featherweight Championship on June 6. The event is scheduled to take place somewhere in the United States. However, due to issues related to coronavirus, it is challenging for any sporting events to be scheduled at this time.

It was also a meaningful time for the greatest Canadian UFC competitor ever this past weekend. That is because it was announced that Georges St-Pierre of Saint-Isidore, Quebec would be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2020.
