Rachel Homan reaches the final of the 2025 Scotties Tournament of Hearts

Rachel Homan’s Team Canada squad is in the final of the 2025 Scotties Tournament of Hearts at Fort William Gardens in Thunder Bay, Ontario. On Saturday, Homan defeated Manitoba’s Kerri Einarson 8-4 in the one-two page playoff game.

Homan had three multi-point ends. She scored two points in the sixth, seventh, and ninth ends, and had a stolen point in the third end. The Homan team curled 90% overall, with lead Sarah Wilkes and third Tracy Fleury at 92%, Emma Miskew at 90% and Homan at 88%.

In the final, Homan will face either Einarson again, or Nova Scotia’s Christina Black. Homan beat Black 10-5 in one of two 1-2 page qualifier games on Friday.

This will be Homan’s eighth Scotties Tournament of Hearts final. She has a record of four wins and three losses. Homan’s wins came in 2013 in Kingston, Ontario, as she beat Manitoba’s Jennifer Jones 9-6 in the final, in 2014 in Montreal, Quebec as she beat Alberta’s Val Sweeting 8-6 in the final, in 2017 in St. Catharines, Ontario, as she beat Manitoba’s Michelle Englot 8-6 in 11 ends in the final, and in 2024 in Calgary, Alberta, as she beat Jones 5-4 in the final. Homan’s three Scotties finals losses came in 2019 in Sydney, Nova Scotia (lost to Alberta’s Chelsea Carey 8-6 in 11 ends), in 2020 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan (lost to Einarson 8-7 in 11 ends), and in 2021 in Calgary (lost to Einarson 9-7).
