Rachel Homan of Ottawa, Ontario has finished the round robin of the 2025 Women’s World Curling Championship in Uijeongbu, South Korea with a record of 10 wins and two losses. On Friday, Team Canada won both of their games. They defeated Italy 9-2 and China 7-5.

The Canadians got off to a magnificent start against Italy as they had a 5-1 lead after four ends, and the match only took seven ends before completion. It was a masterful match for Homan, as she curled a perfect score of 100%. Then in Canada’s win over China, the Canadians took a commanding 6-3 lead after six ends and hung on to win by three.

In Canada’s win over Italy, we saw excellence from Homan. That is because she threw a perfect game as she made all 14 of her shots.

Even though Canada entered the final day of round robin play in second place and won both of their games, they dropped to third place due to the fact Switzerland and South Korea won both of their games, and Sweden lost one contest. Switzerland beat Sweden 11-7 and Denmark 7-6. South Korea beat Italy 6-2 and the United States 8-7.

So, Switzerland (11-1) and South Korea (10-2) get a bye to the semifinals. Sweden (9-3) will play China (7-5) and Canada will play Scotland (7-5) in the two qualification games Friday evening.
