Two-time Canadian Olympic gold medalist Rosannagh MacLennan of King City, Ontario won a silver medal in women’s trampoline at a World Cup in Loule, Portugal on Sunday. MacLennan also teamed up with Sarah Milette of Longueuil, Quebec to win the gold medal in the women’s synchronized trampoline World Cup.
In women’s trampoline, MacLennan posted a second place score of 57.105 points in the final. Xueying Zhu of China won the gold medal with a score of 57.525 points. Laura Gallagher of Great Britain won the bronze medal with a score of 54.52 points.

The silver medal in Portugal was MacLennan’s best result of the year in World Cup trampoline events. Other World Cup winners this year were Irina Kundius of Russia in Brescia, Italy and Susana Kochesok of Russia in Arosa, Switzerland. Zu also won in Maebashi, Japan. The 2018 World Trampoline Championships are in St. Petersburg, Russia from November 7-10, 2018.
