Josh Bailey of Bowmanville, Ontario led the New York Islanders in assists with two on Saturday in a pivotal game seven in their Eastern Conference semifinal series with the Philadelphia Flyers. Bailey had his multi-point game in a 4-0 Islanders win over the Flyers from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario.

Bailey registered his first point with a primary assist on a goal by Brock Nelson at 11:26 of the second period. Ryan Pulock of Dauphin, Manitoba notched the other assist. Then Bailey had a second assist on a goal by Anthony Beauvillier of Sorel-Tracy, Quebec at 13:42 of the third period.

With the win, the Islanders rebounded nicely on Saturday. They initially led the series three games to one, but then saw the Flyers win games five and six of their best out of seven series. The Islanders will now play the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Final. Both the Lightning and Islanders will now travel from Toronto to Edmonton.

The Islanders were one of three teams to have a three games to one series lead in their second round series, lose games five and six, and then win game seven. The same scenario happened in the Western Conference semifinal series, as the Dallas Stars and Vegas Golden Knights were leading three games to one, lost two straight games to the Colorado Avalanche and Vancouver Canucks respectively, before winning game seven.
