
The Winnipeg Jets have tied the Dallas Stars at one game apiece in the Western Conference second round playoff series. On Friday night at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the Jets defeated the Dallas Stars 4-0 in game two of their best out of seven series in the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
It was a strong game for Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. He made 21 saves for his fourth career Stanley Cup playoff shutout. Hellebuyck made seven saves in the first period, nine saves in the second period, and five saves in the third period.
A Canadian scored the game-winning goal for the Jets in game two. Center Gabriel Vilardi of Kingston, Ontario scored the game-winning goal on the power-play at 3:35 of the first period. Defenseman Josh Morrissey of Calgary, Alberta and Nikolaj Ehlers had the assists. For Ehlers, he led the Jets points in game two with three. Ehlers had two goals and one assist.
The series now shifts to Dallas on Sunday afternoon. Please note it is a 3:30 CT start. Dallas will be looking to generate more offense in game three. Mikko Rantanen of the Stars was held off the scoresheet on Friday. Rantanen leads all players in the playoffs in goals with eight.
