Four Canadians record touchdowns for winning CFL teams in Week 7

Four Canadians recorded a touchdown in the seventh week of the 2023 Canadian Football League regular season for a winning team. The Canadians who found the end zone and picked up the W are Winnipeg Blue Bombers wide receiver Nic Demski of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Toronto Argonauts wide receiver Kurleigh Gittens Jr. of Ottawa, Ontario, Ottawa Redblacks wide receiver Nate Behar of London, Ontario, and Redblacks running back Ante Milanovic-Litre of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Demski had a 70 yard touchdown catch on Thursday in a 28-14 Blue Bombers win over the Edmonton Elks. The major score came at 6:41 of the third quarter on a pass from quarterback Zach Collaros, and put Winnipeg up 15-7 at the time. Demski finished the game with four catches for 115 yards. For the season, Demski has 28 catches for 435 receiving yards and three touchdown receptions, along with six rushes for 27 rushing yards. The Blue Bombers are in second place in the West Division with a record of five wins and two losses.

Gittens Jr. had a nine-yard touchdown catch on Friday in a 31-15 Toronto Argonauts win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The major score came at 3:57 of the second quarter on a pass from quarterback Chad Kelly, and put Toronto up 13-0 at the time. Gittens Jr. finished the game with six catches for 69 yards. On the season, Gittens Jr. has 15 catches for 188 yards and one touchdown. With the win, the Argonauts remain undefeated at five wins and zero losses.

Behar had a 23-yard touchdown catch on Sunday in a 43-41 Ottawa Redblacks overtime win over the Calgary Stampeders. The major score came with one minute and 20 seconds left in the fourth quarter on a pass from quarterback Dustin Crum which put Ottawa up 34-32 at the time. Behar finished the game with eight catches for 81 yards. On the season, Behar has 29 catches for 243 yards and one touchdown.

Milanovic-Litre had two three-yard touchdowns for Ottawa on Sunday in their win over Calgary. The first touchdown came 1:59 into the second quarter and put Ottawa up 17-6. The second three-yard touchdown run came in overtime. This major tied the game at 41 at the time. Milanovic-Litre had seven rushes for 35 yards. With the win, the Redblacks improved to three wins and three losses and are in second place in the East Division.
