
Dylan Strome of Mississauga, Ontario recorded his second career National Hockey League hat trick on Tuesday. The Chicago Blackhawks center scored thrice in an 8-3 Chicago win over the Anaheim Ducks at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Strome scored a goalie each period. He opened the scoring at 1:38 of the opening frame from Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat. Strome then put the Blackhawks up 7-3 at 14:50 of the second period from Kane and Jones. He then closed out the scoring at 17:16 of the third period from Kane and DeBrincat.
Strome also had an assist for a four-point game. It was a secondary helper on a goal by DeBrincat at 7:05 of the first period which put the Blackhawks up 2-0 at the time. Strome was one of two Canadians on the Blackhawks to have a multi-point game. Brandon Hagel of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan notched one goal and one assist for two points.
In 2021-22, Strome now has 15 goals and 15 assists for 30 points in 45 games. He is a -4 with 22 penalty minutes, 10 power-play points, one game-winning goal, 88 shots on goal, 256 faceoff wins, 20 blocked shots, six hits, 33 takeaways and 11 giveaways. Strome’s first NHL hat trick came this season in an 8-5 Blackhawks win over the Detroit Red Wings on January 26.
