The Toronto Raptors clobbered the Chicago Bulls 135-92 in the 2026-27 National Basketball Association regular season opener on Wednesday night at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario. The 43 point win was their largest margin of victory for a regular season opener in the history of the franchise.

The previous record was 20 points, which was set just last year when the Raptors trounced the Atlanta Hawks 138-118. The largest Raptors win ever was 53 points. That came on April 2, 2021 in a 130-77 Raptors win over the Golden State Warriors.

On Wednesday night, three Raptors players led the franchise with 23 points. They were Scottie Barnes, Kawhi Leonard and Immanuel Quickley. Two more Raptors players reached double digits in scoring. They were RJ Barrett of Toronto, who had 20 points, and Ja’Kobe Walter, who had 10 points.

The Raptors won every quarter. They outscored Chicago 43-23 in the first quarter, 26-21 in the second quarter, 34-27 in the third quarter, and 32-21 in the fourth quarter. This was the worst season opening loss for the Bulls in the history of their franchise.

The 43-point win is also the most dominant victory by any NBA team so far this season. It is two more points than the 41-point victory by the Portland Trail Blazers. On Wednesday, the Trail Blazers clobbered the Phoenix Suns 124-83.

Next up for the Raptors is Washington on Friday. The Wizards also got a victory in their regular season opener as they defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 128-116 on Wednesday. Anthony Davis had the double-double as he had 34 points and 12 rebounds.
