Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard of Edmonton, Alberta continues to have a great 2024 National Football League regular season. On Sunday from a NFL game in Munich, Germany, Hubbard had 28 rushing carries for 153 rushing yards and one touchdown as the Panthers defeated the New York Giants 30-27 in overtime.

Hubbard also had six catches for 16 receiving yards. Hubbard’s rushing touchdown was for one yard, and put the Panthers up 17-7 with three minutes and 33 seconds left in the third quarter.

Hubbard’s 153 yards rushing was a career-high. It was the sixth time in Hubbard’s career he had 100 yards rushing in a game. It was the third time Hubbard had 100 yards rushing in a Panthers’ win. The first time came on Christmas Eve, 2022, in a 37-25 Panthers win over the Detroit Lions. Hubbard had 12 rushes for 125 rushing yards. The second time came on September 22, 2024. Hubbard had 21 rushes for 114 receiving yards in a 36-22 Panthers win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

On the season, Hubbard has 161 rushes for 818 rushing yards and six touchdown runs. He also has 30 catches for 124 receiving yards and one touchdown. The touchdown catch was for six yards from quarterback Andy Dalton, and came in the Panthers’s win over the Raiders.

Meanwhile, it appears Hubbard will be with the Panthers for a while. Last week he signed a four-year deal worth $33.2 million to stay with Carolina. In the contract, $15 million is guaranteed.
