Brooke Henderson is still in the lead at the 2022 Evian Championship in France. After three rounds, Henderson has a score of -17 and has a two-stroke lead over So-yeon Ryu of South Korea.

On Saturday in the third round, Henderson shot a three-under-par 68. She had four birdies and one bogey. Henderson birdied the third, seventh, ninth and 14th holes, and bogeyed the first. The slow start did not hamper her too much, as she was in control for most of the day.

However the third round finish on Saturday, it was Ryu that ended the round with momentum. She birdied three of the last four holes and pulled within two strokes. Henderson meanwhile missed a costly birdie opportunity on the 18th hole, that would have restored a three-stroke lead.

Henderson is looking for her second major title of her career. She previously won the 2016 Women’s PGA Championship at the Sahalee Country Club in Seattle, Washington.

There was a second Canadian golfer who was having a good weekend. Stephen Ames of Vancouver, British Columbia entered the third round of the 2022 Senior British Open at -5, and only three strokes back of the leader, Darren Clarke of Northern Ireland. However a tough Saturday where he shot four over par, put him in 28th place and eight strokes back of Paul Broadhurst of England, and Clarke, who each are at -9.
