The Montreal Alouettes have signed wide receiver Natey Adjei of Toronto, Ontario on Thursday according to the Canadian Press. Adjei spent six seasons with the Toronto Argonauts and Edmonton Football Team from 2014 to 2019.

In 98 games, Adjei has had 97 catches for 925 yards and four touchdowns. He has also shown some versatility, as he had 33 special teams tackles, and six defensive tackles during his time in Toronto and Edmonton.

Adjei’s finest Canadian Football League game came on July 11, 2019, in a 33-6 Edmonton thrashing over the British Columbia Lions at B.C. Place in Vancouver, British Columbia. Adjei had four catches for a career-high 106 yards and one touchdown.

During the 2019 CFL season, Adjei saw a significant increase in playing time. He had career highs in receptions (58), receiving yards (534), yards after the catch (281), touchdown catches (two), and longest catch (77 yards).

Adjei was supposed to play the 2020 CFL season with the Argonauts. He returned to Toronto on February 5, but never had a chance to play with the Boatmen for a second time because of coronavirus. He was initially drafted by the Argonauts in the third round, 22nd overall, in the 2013 Canadian Football League Draft. In his spare time, Adjei also has a Podcast called, “The AllBall Podcast”.
