
Canadian Olympic bronze medalist Alexandria Loutitt of Calgary, Alberta won the bronze medal on Thursday in the women’s large hill event in Lahti, Finland. For Loutitt it was her 11th career World Cup medal.
Loutitt has won two World Cup gold medals, four World Cup silver medals, and five World Cup bronze medals. This was her third World Cup medal this season. Loutitt previously won gold in the women’s large hill in Sapporo, Japan on January 18 and bronze in Lake Placid, New York on February 7.
Loutitt posted a third place score of 275.1 point in Lahti. Nika Prevc won the gold medal with a score of 302.8 points. Selina Freitag of Germany won the silver medal with a score of 277.4 points. Loutitt reached the podium by 1.1 points. Elrin Maria Kvandal of Norway finished in fourth place with a score of 274 points.
In the World Cup standings, Loutitt is in 10th place with 681 points. Prevc is the World Cup champion with 1933 points. This was the final Women’s World Cup large hill ski jumping event of the 2024-25 season.
Louititt won a bronze medal in mixed team ski jumping at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing. The bronze medal will give her confidence as she prepares for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan/Cortina d’Ampezzo.
