Adam Svensson in contention at the 2023 Wyndham Championship

Adam Svensson of Surrey, British Columbia is in contention at the 2023 Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina. After 36 holes, he has a score of -10 and is tied for third place.

Svensson posted a score of three-under-par 67 on Friday. That was after he posted a score of seven-under-par 63 on Thursday. In round one, Svensson had seven birdies and zero bogeys. He birdied the third, fourth, sixth, seventh, ninth, 14th and 15th holes. In round two, Svensson had five birdies and two bogeys. He birdied the second, third, fifth, 11th, and 17th holes, and bogeyed the 15th and 16th holes.

The leader of the 2023 Wyndham Championship is Russell Henley of Macon, Georgia, who is at -12. Billy Horschel of Grant, Florida is alone in second place at -11. The players Svensson is tied with at third place are Americans Lucas Glover and Brendon Todd, as well as South Korea’s Byeong Hun An. Glover is from Greenville, South Carolina, and Todd is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Glover is a major champion as he won the 2009 United States Open from Bethpage Black in New York.

Svensson won a PGA Tour event this past fall. On November 20, he won the 2022 RSM Classic in St. Simons Island, Georgia by shooting a four round score of -19.
