The Winnipeg Jets are in the second round of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs. On Sunday night at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the Jets won one of the most dramatic games in not only the history of the franchise, but Stanley Cup Playoff history as well.

The Jets were trailing the St. Louis Blues 3-1 with two minutes left. Vladislav Namestnikov pulled the Jets to within one goal at 3-2 St. Louis. Then, in dramatic fashion, Cole Perfetti of Whitby, Ontario tied the game with 2.2 seconds left from Kyle Connor and Nikolaj Ehlers. This was the latest a team has ever tied a game in the seventh game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Then in overtime, it was the Jets captain Adam Lowry of Calgary, Alberta who was the overtime hero. Lowry scored from Neal Pionk and Kyle Connor with three minutes and 50 seconds left in the second overtime. For Lowry, it was his first ever Stanley Cup Playoff overtime winner.

Next up for the Presidents’ Trophy champion Jets in the Western Conference semifinals are the Dallas Stars. On the weekend, Dallas beat Colorado in the seventh and deciding game. Game one between the Stars and Jets in Winnipeg will take place on Wednesday.
