The Detroit Tigers have traded right handed relief pitcher Connor Seabold to the Toronto Blue Jays according to Darragh McDonald of mlbtraderumors.com on Wednesday. In exchange, the Tigers will receive minor league lefthanded pitcher Juanmi Vasquez.

Seabold is joining his sixth Major League Baseball team. He was previously with the Boston Red Sox for two seasons (2021 and 2022), the Colorado Rockies for one season (2023), the Tampa Bay Rays and Atlanta Braves (2025), and Detroit Tigers (2026).

Earlier this calendar year, Seabold was with the Blue Jays, but he never played a game. Seabold signed as a free agent on January 21, was released by the Blue Jays on March 21, and then signed with the Tigers two days later.

This season with the Tigers, Seabold pitched in 11 games, and had a record of one win and zero losses, with an earned run average of 3.45. During 15 2/3 innings pitched, he gave up 17 hits, six earned runs, two home runs and five walks, to go along with 14 strikeouts, and a WHIP (walks and hits per innings pitched) of 1.40. The win came on April 16, 2026 in a 10-9 Tigers win over the Kansas City Royals. Seabold gave up one home run in an inning and a third and had two strikeouts.
