The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed defenders Benoit Marion of Montreal, Quebec and Siriman Bagayogo of Bois-des-Filion, Quebec, according to X and reddit respectively on Sunday. Marion is joining his second Canadian Football League franchise after playing the last four seasons with the Toronto Argonauts from 2021 to 2024. Bagayogo is also joining his second CFL franchise. He played with the British Columbia Lions in 2023.

Marion is a defensive lineman, who has two special teams tackles in 2024. They came in the Argonauts’s regular season home opener on June 9, in a game where the Toronto Argonauts beat the Lions 35-27 at Bank of Montreal Field in Toronto, Ontario. In 33 games, Marion has seven defensive tackles, 13 special teams tackles, one sack and two forced fumbles. The forced fumbles came in a 39-10 Argonauts win over the Montreal Alouettes on September 9, 2023, and in a 40-27 Argonauts win over the Ottawa Redblacks on October 14. The sack also came in the Argonauts’s 13-point win over Ottawa last year. Benoit also won a Grey Cup with the Argonauts in 2022.

Bagayogo, a defensive back, meanwhile had six defensive tackles and three special teams tackles with the Lions a season ago. The Tiger-Cats are off to a slow start. They lost 32-24 to the Calgary Stampeders on June 7 and 33-30 to the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Sunday.
