Team Manitoba leads after day three of the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts

Team Manitoba leads after the third full day of the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The team skipped by Kerri Einarson of Selkirk, Manitoba is the only team undefeated as they have a perfect record of four wins and zero losses.

So far, Manitoba has beaten Quebec 9-4, Nunavut 6-4, Northern Ontario 8-7 and Canada 6-5. In Manitoba’s win over Nunavut, Manitoba was actually trailing Nunavut 4-3 after seven ends before scoring three unanswered points to win. Manitoba was trailing Northern Ontario’s Krista McCarville as well 5-4 after seven ends and 7-6 after nine ends before scoring twice in the tenth end to win 8-7. Then on Sunday, Einarson needed to beat Chelsea Carey in an extra end to be victorious.

Manitoba is in Pool A. They currently lead three teams, who are in a three-way tie for second place at three wins and one loss. They are Alberta, Northern Ontario and Saskatchewan.

In Pool B, there is a three-way tie for first place at the moment. The tied teams are Ontario’s Rachel Homan, Team Wildcard’s Jennifer Jones and Nova Scotia’s Mary-Anne Arsenault and they are all at three wins and one loss. The upset of the tournament so far is that Prince Edward Island’s Suzanne Birt beat Homan 9-8 in 11 ends on Sunday night.
