
Team Canada is entering the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in artistic swimming with a significant amount of momentum. This past weekend in Budapest, Hungary, Team Canada came away with four medals at the Artistic Swimming World Cup Super Final.
Team Canada won the gold medal in the women duet free event. Jacqueline Simoneau of Chambly, Quebec and Audrey Lamothe of Montreal, Quebec had a first place score of 272.6457 points. The Israel duo of Shelly Bobritsky and Ariel Nassee won the silver medal with a score of 243.9042 points. Yanhan Lin and Yanjun Lin of China won the bronze medal with a score of 239.187 points. The Canadians reached the podium by 65.374 points. The Italian duo of Sarah Maria Rizea and Flamina Vernice finished in fourth place with 207.4083 points.
Canada also won the silver medal in the team acrobatic event with 194.4867 points. The United States won gold with 229.0367 points.
Canada also won the bronze medals in the team technical and team free events. In the team technical, Canada had 247.6337 points. They were behind the United States with 285.1667 points and Mexico with 281.55 points. In the team free, Canada had 281.3626 points. They were once again behind the United States with 346.6104 points, and Mexico with 335.6398 points.
