Taylor Pendrith leads after the second round of the Bermuda Championship

Taylor Pendrith of Richmond Hill, Ontario has the lead after the second round of the 2021 Bermuda Championship. On Friday, Pendrith was sensational after he shot a second round score of -10.

Pendrith is currently at -11. Her has a one stroke lead on American Patrick Rodgers, a two-stroke lead on American Vincent Whaley, and is three strokes up on New Zealand’s Danny Lee and England’s David Skinns.

In an event where most of the world’s best golfers are not present in Bermuda, Pendrith went on a birdie fest to remember on Friday. He birdied the first five holes, the seventh hole, 11th hole and 12th hole. Pendrith then bogeyed the 13th hole, before recording another birdie on the 14th hole, and an eagle on the 17th hole.

In round one on Thursday, Pendrith also eagled the 17th hole for a score of -1. He also notched birdies on the second, sixth, and 11th holes, along with bogeys on the eighth, 12th, 13th, and 15th holes.

Pendrith is currently 239th in the world. His best result on the PGA Tour in 2021 was an 11th place finish at the Barbasol Championship in Nicholasville, Kentucky in the middle of July, when most of the top players in the world were at the British Open. Pendrith shot a four-round score of -18, and was three strokes back of the champion, Seamus Power of Ireland.
