Taylor Pendrith in contention at the 2024 Corales Puntacana Championship

Taylor Pendrith of Richmond Hill, Ontario is in contention at the 2024 Corales Puntacana Championship in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. He is currently at -15, in third place, and two strokes off the lead.

Pendrith had a first round score of five-under-par. He had six birdies and one bogey. Pendrith birdied the fourth, sixth, ninth, 12th, 13th, and 18th holes, and bogeyed the 11th hole. Pendrith had a second round score of three-under-par. He had three birdies and zero bogeys. He birdied the fourth, 10th, and 15th holes. Pendrith then had a third round score of seven-under-par after seven birdies and zero bogeys. He birdied the fourth, sixth, seventh, eighth, 12th, 13th, and 15th holes.

The leader in the Dominican Republic is currently Wesley Bryan of Columbia, South Carolina, who is -17. Kevin Tway of Edmond, Oklahoma is in second place at -16. Pendrith is tied with Justin Lower of Akron, Ohio. Meanwhile at -14 and in fifth place is Billy Horschel of Grant, Florida.

Pendrith is still looking for his first PGA title. Ranked 106th in the world, his best prior result was a second place in 2022. He posted a four round score of -21, at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit, Michigan, but still lost by five strokes to the eventual champion, Tony Finau of Salt Lake City, Utah,
