According to CBS Sports on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Kings traded defenseman Sean Walker of Keswick, Ontario to the Philadelphia Flyers. Walker was actually involved in a three-way deal, as the Columbus Blue Jackets were also involved.

In addition to Walker, the Kings traded goaltender Cal Petersen, defenseman Helge Grans and a second round pick in the 2024 National Hockey League Entry Draft to the Flyers. Philadelphia traded right winger Hayden Hodgson of Windsor, Ontario and defenseman Ivan Provorov to the Kings. However, Provorov was not with the Kings for long, as he was then traded to the Blue Jackets for defenseman Kevin Connauton of Edmonton, Alberta. Connauton went to Columbus earlier in the day from Philadelphia for a first round draft pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft and a second round pick in either 2024 or 2025.

Walker has played the last five seasons with the Kings. In 70 games in 2022-23, he had three goals and 10 assists for 13 points. Walker was a -3 with 36 penalty minutes, one game-winning goal, one power-play point, 94 shots on goal, 104 blocked shots, 77 hits, 13 takeaways, and 32 giveaways. The game-winning goal came on February 13, in a 5-2 Kings win over the Buffalo Sabres. The power-play point was an assist in a 4-1 Kings win over the Winnipeg Jets on March 25.
